This section covers mechanical and electrical work on a car, and it begins with a practical question before anything else: where is the car right now? A car parked at home is one situation; a car broken down on the road is another entirely, needing a different response and possibly recovery.
Most of what comes through here is scheduled servicing that is known in advance: engine oil and filters, battery, brakes, tires. After that comes diagnosis when the cause is not obvious — a computer scan for a fault with no visible source, overheating, or an electrical problem. To quote accurately a company needs the make, model and year, because parts and procedures differ between them. One important note: car washing and polishing are not here. They have their own section, and mixing them up sends the request to companies that do not offer it.

Where do I request a car wash or polish?
In the separate car wash section, not here. The split is deliberate on the platform: washing and detailing companies are not the same as mechanical workshops, and sending the request to the wrong section means few offers or none.
The car has broken down on the road — what should I do?
Set the car's location in the request and choose breakdown as the service type. Location changes the response entirely and may call for recovery rather than a roadside repair.
Why are the model and year required?
Because parts, service procedures and oil specifications differ between them. Without those details offers are estimates that are liable to change once the car is inspected.
What is the difference between an oil change and a minor service?
Oil alone is one item, oil with a filter is another, and a minor service adds further checks alongside them. The request form distinguishes all three explicitly so offers come back on the same basis.
